Why filter
Your water arrives
treated.
It should arrive
finished.
HydroSteel is a three-stage whole-home filtration system, designed to reduce sediment and chlorine taste and odour.
Between the plant and your tap
Treated at the plant. Filtered at home.
Australian mains water is treated to national guidelines and monitored. Chlorine is used during treatment, and a residual can remain at the tap.
The guidelines consider health as well as taste, smell and appearance. Chlorine’s health guideline value is 5 mg/L. Its odour threshold is about 0.6 mg/L. Water can sit between those two numbers: within its health guideline, and still something you notice.

Whole home
Every tap. Every shower.
HydroSteel is fitted at the main supply, so water passes through the same three stages before it reaches the kitchen, shower and basin. Those stages are designed to reduce sediment and chlorine taste and odour.
Taste and clarity
The final polish.
Hold a glass of it to the light. Clarity, the final stage, is designed to reduce fine sediment and residual chlorine.
Water passes through Strata, then Carbon, then Clarity, before it reaches the taps.

Three cartridges behind a powder-coated steel cover. The integrated pressure-release button depressurises the housing, and the filter spanner in the box opens it. Replacement cartridges are available individually. Most cartridges need replacing every six to twelve months, depending on your water and usage. Reduced flow or a return of taste can signal that a replacement is due. HydroSteel needs no power.
