Yes. Australian regulations require a licensed plumber for any connection to your home’s water supply. Your system is fitted by a licensed plumber of your choice, and we can refer you to an experienced independent contractor we have on file who knows HydroSteel. HydroSteel comes with a detailed installation manual, so any licensed plumber can handle the job confidently.
-
Isolate the system first. Every professional installation includes a shut-off valve, and closing it stops the water at the system. Then call us during opening hours, Monday to Friday. Outside those hours, send a message through the form on this page. We read messages at 8:30am Perth time on the next business day and reply that day.

Most cartridges need replacing every six to twelve months, depending on your water and usage. Reduced flow or a return of taste can signal that a replacement is due.
-
HydroSteel is designed for straightforward cartridge replacement, and the integrated pressure release button makes servicing simple. Each of the three cartridges can be swapped individually without disturbing the others. That said, if you’d prefer a hands-off approach, we can connect you with our recommended independent contractor.

HydroSteel filters in three stages. Strata, a pleated polypropylene cartridge (5 to 10 micron), is designed to reduce silt, sand and sediment. Carbon, an activated carbon block with scale-inhibiting media (1 to 5 micron), is designed to reduce chlorine taste and odour and help control scale. Clarity, a coconut shell activated carbon block (1 to 5 micron), is designed to reduce fine sediment and residual chlorine.
-
Yes. Every system we offer is WaterMark certified under its own licence. HydroSteel holds WaterMark licence 080119 with CMI Certification. ThermoSteel holds WaterMark licence 027149 and StandardsMark licence SMK41866 with SAI Global. Each system’s page shows its certificate details. WaterMark is Australia’s certification scheme for plumbing and drainage products. It is a plumbing certification, not a performance score. It is what lets your plumber connect it and sign off.

HydroSteel uses carbon-based filtration rather than reverse osmosis. It is designed to reduce sediment and chlorine taste and odour.
-
We choose every system with care and explain it plainly. HydroSteel is a whole-home system fitted at the main supply, so every tap, shower and appliance in your home receives filtered water, and its powder-coated 304 stainless steel cover, frame and bracket are meant to be seen rather than hidden. ThermoSteel is an all-in-one heat pump hot water system. Every system we offer is chosen for Australian conditions, and when you call, a person who knows your system answers.
-
Esker supplies water systems, chosen with care. Today that means HydroSteel, a whole-home water filtration system with three stages (sediment, activated carbon and a final coconut shell carbon block), and ThermoSteel, our 320 litre heat pump hot water system. We’re Australian owned and family-run, supported from Western Australia, and built on three principles: clarity, care and confidence.
